Blaze Thibaudeau (age 16, born November 8, 2006) is a Gilbert high school student who was abducted by his Mormon mother, Spring Thibaudeau. She had become very focused on the idea of the Second Coming of Christ, and this led her to believe that Blaze had a special role in it.

On October 23, 2023, when 16-year-old Blaze Thibaudeau went missing at approximately 5 p.m. He was believed to have been taken by his mother, Spring, and his uncle, Brook Hale. There’s a suspicion that Blaze’s older sister, Abigail, might be involved too.

Five days later, Spring and Hale found themselves in big trouble with the law. They were charged with something called ‘custodial interference’ and ‘conspiracy to commit custodial interference’ in Arizona. The police were looking to arrest them, but strangely, Abigail wasn’t charged with anything. It’s believed that this group might have gone to Idaho and even Canada.

Blaze’s dad, Ben Thibaudeau, is really worried. He shared something really surprising. He said his wife, daughter, and brother-in-law thought Blaze had a special role in religious prophecies. As time passed, Ben’s anxiety for his son’s safety grew, particularly because he knew Blaze had a rebellious streak and feared that Brook might go to great lengths to control him, even to the point of incapacitating him. The search for the missing 16-year-old from Gilbert eventually concluded with a surprising twist.

The Gilbert Police Department revealed that Blaze had been found safe and sound, but not in Arizona. Instead, he was discovered at the Alcan Port of Entry along the eastern Alaska border.

Accompanying Blaze were his mother, Spring Thibaudeau (who lacked custody rights), his uncle Brook Hale, and his sister, Abigail Thibaudeau, also known as Abi. Spring and Hale had warrants for their arrests in connection with the disappearance, and the Alaska State Troopers took them into custody.
