Calvin Cafritz Passes Away- Realtor, Businessman, and Philanthropist
Calvin Cafritz, an innovator, businessman, and philanthropist from Washington, D.C., died on Thursday at Sibley Memorial Hospital.
He was the eldest son of real estate legend Morris Cafritz and his wife Gwendolyn. He was 91.
Calvin Cafritz’s passing was confirmed by the Morris and Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation, which he had served as president of since 1989.
They also provided a copy of his obituary, which did not include a cause of death.
According to its most recent Form 990, the foundation, one of the biggest in Greater Washington, had more than $400 million in assets and about $65 million in annual revenue and expenses.
It is anticipated to make a formal announcement soon.
