Carl Mattson and Vicki Mattson Found Dead in their residence

Just after 9 p.m. on Tuesday, officers responding to a well-being check discovered Carl Mattson and Vicki Mattson, both 70, dead in their Marshfield home with “clear evidence of trauma,” according to Plymouth District Attorney Timothy Cruz.

Although the findings of the autopsy are still awaiting, they looked to have been beaten and stabbed.

Cruz claimed that Christopher Keeley was “familiar” with the couple, though he could not specify their precise relationship, and police are currently searching for him. According to him, the murders weren’t just random acts of violence; the victims were specifically targeted. He didn’t say why he was doing it.

According to Cruz, Keeley, who is armed and dangerous, may be operating a black Jeep Wrangler that belonged to the victims. He may be out of state, and it’s unknown how long he has been missing, he added.

According to Marshfield police chief Phillip Tavares, Keeley, who is accused of murder, may have altered his appearance, including dying his hair red.

A prosecutor said on Wednesday that authorities in Massachusetts are hunting for a 27-year-old man they believe was responsible for the killings of a married couple in a neighborhood south of Boston.
