Cody Dotson Obituary, Enterprise Grain Company General Manager

The Rev. Tommy Donaldson will officiate in a Celebration of Life Service for Cody Dotson, age 41, of the Pioneer Community at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 13, 2023.

Following will be a Private Family Burial in the Bethany Cemetery. From 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, the family will host friends at the funeral home. Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory is responsible for overseeing the arrangements.

Wesley and Connie (Sanders) Dotson gave birth to Cody on September 4, 1981 in Enid, and he died on May 8, 2023 as a consequence of an agricultural accident. He graduated in 2000 from Pioneer High School, where he played on three State Football Championship teams. He received his Applied Science certification while attending OSU Okmulgee Tech.

He started off as a technician for Ditch Witch before moving on to work for Ditch Witch of Oklahoma in 2004. He started working for CGB and was there for ten years. In 2021, Cody started working as the Chief Operating Officer for Sidwell Transportation, 81 Feed and Seed, and Enterprise Grain Co.

On March 7, 2009, in Enid, Cody wed Chelsi Pitman, the woman he had loved his entire life since they met in high school. Emmy and Declan’s proud father, he delighted in mentoring all the sports they participated in. Cody was baptized in the creek north of the house as a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. Cody was a selfless, diligent worker who could fix anything.

As well as his wife Chelsi, children Emmy and Declan, parents Wes and Connie Dotson, brother Tucker Dotson and wife Whitney, sister Lezlie Meibergen, maternal grandmother Gloria Howery, paternal grandfather Stanley Dotson, father and mother-in-law Tony and Ginger Pitman, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, Cody is also survived by his wife Chelsi.

His paternal grandmother Oletta Dotson, maternal grandfather Leslie Sanders, and step grandfather Harold Howery all passed away before him.

Chelsi Dotson will receive memorial contributions for his children’s college fund, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory acting as the fund’s custodian.
