When Waller was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders in 2018. On October 16, 2019, Waller signed a three-year contract extension with the Raiders.

On September 10, 2022, he signed another three-year contract extension with the Raiders, worth $51 million making him the highest-paid tight end in the league.
