In an official statement, the Minneapolis police confirmed the occurrence of the carjacking in Sathanandan’s Folwell neighborhood.

Although her car was eventually recovered, no arrests have been made regarding the incident. Sathanandan thanked the “incredible” Minneapolis Police Department for their assistance during this terrifying experience.

This sentiment represents a noteworthy shift in her attitude towards law enforcement compared to three years ago when she had posted online about her involvement with activists seeking to dismantle the Minneapolis Police Department.

Additionally, in another post from June 2 of that year, she had praised the Minneapolis School Board’s decision to terminate its contract with the department.
