Early on Wednesday morning, Caesar posted a touching message on her Facebook page, sharing:

Because of the passing of my son, my friend, my coworker, and my musical director, Minister Michael E. Mathis, my heart is really bleeding right now.

Michael was one of those people who did everything perfectly, so I can’t believe it. He was a vegetarian, took good care of himself by exercising and daily walking five miles. He has never been ill in the years that I have known him. I simply find it hard to accept that he is no longer here.

Michael Mathis was the one person I know who was saved. He was such a nice person, never having a bad word to say about anyone.
