Christina Hendricks reportedly had beef with her love interest on Good Girls and it played a role in the network axing the show. TV Line broke the story, sources say Montana was a major reason the show not coming back for another go.
One of the most-loved stars of the show is Manny Montana who plays Rio in the series. However, some fans might not know he is actually married to one of his Good Girls co-stars – here’s what you need to know about this.
In 2019, when asked about her love scenes with Montana, Hendricks provided an odd response. She said, “He’s a great actor and we have great chemistry working together and He’s just It’s just a very sort of respectful work. You know, it’s funny, because I know people love Beth and Rio. We, of course love that. It’s exciting and stuff.
The following year, during a Good Girls-themed Q&A at 92nd Street Y, Hendricks revealed that Montana refuses to address her by her actual name while on set. “Manny calls Chris, ” she sighed. “No one in my life calls me Chris. It’s not my name. I think it’s totally stupid. And he’s never taken the chance to realize that I hate it.

While ‘Good Girls’ did not perform well when its episodes were originally broadcast it went onto become NBC’s second most-watched show on digital platforms. At the moment it is unclear if the show will get a second lease of life on any other platform.
However, it is interesting to note that it is reportedly Montana’s refusal to take a pay cut for the series even though the other stars of the show including Christina Hendricks, Retta, and Mae Whitman had all reportedly agreed to take pay cuts in the larger interest of keeping the show going.
