Marques Houston has had many trials come and go but his career still stands strong. Despite the critics he received upon his relationship and marriage to his current wife for their age difference of 20 years, he still makes it up to his fans by producing good entertainment.

Marques Houston does not have a twin brother but he has an older brother named Brandon Houston. Brandon and Marques could easily pass off as twins cause of the striking resemblance they share, except that, Marques Houston has a much slimmer physic.

Marques and Brandon has two younger sisters Brandye and Danielle Houston with whom they share with their parents Michael and Carolyn Houston.

Marques Houston also has a friend who is also consider as  brother to him, Omarion. With how close Marques Houston and Omarion are, one might mistake them to be brothers because of the closeness they both share with each other. In as much as one will believe they are related, the duo is not related in anyways except for being good friends.

Omarion, Marques Houston, and their manager Chris Stokes has formed a production company called Franchise Boys.
