Dr. Michael Sileo, MD – East Setauket, NY
Dr. Sileo is a native of Garden City, Long Island and graduated magna cum laude from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia in 1998. He subsequently earned his medical degree at SUNY Stony Brook in 2002. Dr. Sileo has a particular interest in the care of both the competitive and recreational athlete. He is actively involved in the community, and can frequently be found taking care of athletes on the sideline of several local football teams. He specializes in the arthroscopic and minimally invasive treatment of shoulder, hip, knee, and elbow injuries, but has extensive experience in most areas of both operative and non-operative orthopedics. Dr. Sileo is one of the few orthopaedic surgeons in the tri-state area who routinely performs hip arthroscopy for the minimally invasive treatment of hip labral tears and femoroacetabular impingement. Dr. Sileo's practice emphasizes both rehabilitation as well as training to prevent sports related injuries. His other areas of interest include the treatment of cartilage and meniscal injuries, shoulder arthroplasty, and fracture care.
