Gerald Lyman Dies in a Motorcycle-Versus-Deer Collision
After hitting a deer in Marion County on Tuesday night, a motorcyclist died.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Gerald Lyman, 45, was driving a 2006 Harley Davidson FLHX southeast on Prospect Upper Sandusky Road at roughly 9:20 p.m. when a deer crossed the road.
The deer was struck by Lyman, who also turned the Harley Davidson over. He crashed his motorcycle and came to rest on the highway. The Harley Davidson left the right side of the road, hit a hill, and finally came to rest.

After being transported to Marion General Hospital, Lyman was subsequently declared dead. According to OSHP, he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
The accident is still being looked into.
