A mother of four who reportedly knocked on the door of a white woman’s house to get her child’s iPad on Friday, June 2, 2023, before being fatally shot.

It’s thought that the woman stole the cellphone when Owens’ kids unintentionally left it in a field where they were playing.

The unnamed woman is reportedly Ajike’s longtime neighbor and may go by the name Susanne. According to early reports, she hasn’t been detained or accused of anything by the police for the wrongful killing.

The children of Ajike were playing in a field close to an apartment complex in Ocala when, according to attorney Ben Crump, a 58-year-old white woman “began yelling at them to get off her land and calling them racial slurs.”

Owens’ kids unintentionally left an iPad behind, which the woman took after hurling insults at them.
