GoFundMe; Wes Woodard Dies in a Deadly Crash

Wes Woodard, a senior at Meadow ISD, died in a two-vehicle incident on County Road 230 on Monday at around 5:30 p.m.

On the day of the collision, according to DPS, Woodard was traveling to an FFA dinner. He was traveling eastbound on CR 230 when a westbound car swerved to the left to avoid hitting him. Woodard also made an attempt to escape the collision by veering to the right, but the two cars collided in the road.

While the other driver was taken to UMC in Lubbock with moderate injuries, Woodard perished in the collision.

Although the FFA banquet was postponed, the gym was open for community members to congregate and offer one another support.
