Harrison Miller Died in Fatal Waverly Accident, Elkhorn South High School student
According to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, Harrison Miller was killed in a collision on Friday morning after his car jumped the center line and hit a semi-truck head-on near Waverly.
At about 10:45 a.m., authorities responded to the collision on U.S. 6 near 162nd Street, about a mile northeast of Waverly. Harrison F. Miller was pronounced dead at the scene.
Miller, an Elkhorn South High School alumnus studying criminology and criminal justice as a freshman at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.
He was operating a 2017 Volkswagen Jetta eastbound on U.S. 6 when the vehicle crossed the center line and struck a Mack semi-truck hauling a trailer traveling in the other direction, according to Chief Deputy Ben Houchin.
