Maureen shared in one of the episodes of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here that back when he was born, they told her parents that he should be institutionalized or put away, but they fought for him and took him home, writes Daily Mail.

Now, she takes care of him and speaks up for rights and inclusivity for people with ID. She even participated in I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here to raise funds for the Achieve Australia charity, which offers services to enable individuals with disabilities to enjoy independent lives.

The siblings are often seen on social media when Maureen posts pictures of them. Last December, the actress shared pictures of them at Christmas in a sweet post. The caption read, “Denny and I are sending you all our love! BELIEVE.”

Likewise, their cute video of dancing together on Thanksgiving this year also went viral. Fans were happy to see the siblings bond and sent them their best wishes.

What Happened to Dennis McCormick?

Dennis McCormick was born with an intellectual disability. Maureen credited her mom and dad for lovingly guiding Denny throughout high school. They were lifelong champions for people with intellectual disabilities. Her father even became a certified teacher for children with ID.

After Irene passed away, Dennis was placed in a home to accommodate people with mental disabilities. During that time, she also gained 30 pounds and decided to face her eating disorder. by competing in Celebrity Fit Club.

Since Maureen grew up with her siblings, she has advocated for people with ID and supports programs that aim to end the discrimination against people with ID.

According to Dr. Phil’s website, Maureen talked about her family, where her parents, Irene McCormick and Richard McCormick, were happily married and blessed with four children. Maureen had three siblings- Michael. Kevin and Dennis.

Michael is the oldest, and then it is Kevin, Dennis, and Maureen, the youngest and only girl in the family. Like Brady’s, her family also had its share of conflict as everyone worried about Kevin, who was a mess of emotional highs and lows and involved in drug and alcohol abuse.

Over a decade ago, she appeared on Dr. Phil and shared about her father and brother. Her father started to live with Kevin after the demise of their mother, and soon after that, her dad started to do things in secrecy, like a huge amount of money in Kevin’s name.

Michael and Maureen had been trying to get the family back together, but Kevin and their dad were running from them. Maureen had expressed concerns over her brother and father- she was also worried that Kevin might end his life or do something to him or their father.

After the confrontation episode of Dr. Phil in 2007, there have been no updates about her father and brother. But, in 2019, she posted pictures of her father and said that she misses him. Currently, she is often seen talking about her brother Dennis with whom she shares a precious bond.
