Jackson Stringfellow Dies In Single-vehicle Crash Near Lee Road 179

Following a single-vehicle collision in Smiths Station, a teenager Jackson Stringfellow lost his life.

The accident happened on Lee Road 179, close to the crossroads with Lee Road 246, at around three in the morning on Sunday, April 16.

According to Lee County Coroner Daniel Sexton, 14-year-old Jackson Stringfellow was pronounced dead at around 6:30 a.m. Eastern Time.

The 2019 GMC Arcadia was carrying the 14-year-old as a passenger. The Arcadia veered off the road, collided with a number of trees, and flipped over. At the time of the collision, the teen was not wearing a seat belt.

Both the 15-year-old juvenile driver of the Arcadia, who is also from Smiths Station, and another 15-year-old passenger were hurt and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
