Jadelynn Hammett Dies in a Fatal Jackson County car crash

On December 24, 2023, a head-on collision occurred on Spring Arbor Road – M60 east of Reynolds Road. Deputies from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Spring Arbor Fire and Rescue, and Jackson Community Ambulance responded to the scene.

The first vehicle was found with severe front end damage, occupied by Jadelynn Hammett and a 25-year-old male Jackson resident. Hammett and the passenger were transported to Henry Ford Allegiance, where Hammett died. The passenger sustained significant but non-life-threatening injuries. The second vehicle was found with severe front end damage, occupied by Grace Kemner, a Dimondale resident.

Sheriff Gary Schuette regretfully reports on Sunday, December 24, 2023 at 0223 Hrs., Deputies from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office along with Spring Arbor Fire and Rescue and Jackson Community Ambulance (JCA) responded to Spring Arbor Road – M60 just east of Reynolds Road for a reported head on collision involving two vehicles. On arrival Deputies located the first vehicle with severe front end damage and occupied by driver – Jadelynn Hammett (22) from Jackson and a 25 year old male Jackson resident. Extrication and lifesaving efforts were conducted by Rescue Personnel and Deputies – Hammett and passenger were transported by JCA to Henry Ford Allegiance. Hammett succumbed to her injuries at Henry Ford Allegiance. The passenger sustained significant but non-life threatening injuries….
