Jesse Freiburger Obituary, Visitation and Funeral Details

On Sunday, July 2, 2023, Jesse Lee Freiburger, 41, of Dubuque, Iowa, a former resident of Bellevue, passed away in the company of his loved ones.

The viewing will take place at Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3860 Asbury Road, on Thursday, July 6, 2023, from 3 PM to 8:00 PM.

A Celebration of Jesse’s Life for family and close friends will be 10:30 am Friday, July 7, 2023 at Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home & Crematory.

Jesse was born March 29, 1982, the son of William and Julie (Roth) Freiburger. He graduated from Bellevue Public High School in 2000. Jesse then graduated from Loras College with a bachelor’s degree in health and physical education. He received his master’s in sports administration from American Public University and an administrative endorsement from Morningside University.  Jesse has been employed by the Dubuque Community School District for the past 18 years.  He started his career as a physical education teacher at Sageville Elementary, later advancing his career as a student needs facilitator at Roosevelt Middle School.

Ultimately, he achieved his goal this past year of becoming the Principal at Marshall Elementary.

Jesse was a huge sports fan, and he especially enjoyed supporting the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Iowa Hawkeyes. Above all, he valued time spent with his loved ones. His three children were his pride and joy, and he loved them with all of his heart as well as Heather, his wife and high school sweetheart. Anyone who came into contact with Jesse was immediately aware of his kindness, generosity, and compassion. He could make everyone feel like they were the most significant person in the room because to his infectious smile.

All those who know and loved him will genuinely miss him. His wife Heather, kids Landen, Hayden, and Mason, parents Willie and Julie Freiburger, sister Jennie (TJ) Michels, and brother Jared (Traci) Freiburger are among those still living.
