John Calipari Parents: Meet Vince Calipari and Donna Mae Calipari
John Vincent Calipari is an American basketball coach. Since 2009, he has been the head coach of the University of Kentucky men’s team, with whom he won the NCAA Championship in 2012. He has been named Naismith College Coach of the Year three times and was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2015.

He was born to Vince Calipari(father) and Donna Mae Calipari(mother). He has 2 siblings both sisters namely Terri Calipari and Lea Calipari.
Calipari was born in Moon Township, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Pittsburgh. He is of Italian descent. He attended Moon Area High School and graduated in 1978. His father, Tom Izzo, worked as a basketball coach at Michigan State University. Calipari still to this day, looks up to his coaching mastery.
Calipari has coached Kentucky to four Final Fours, in 2011, 2012, 2014, and 2015. He also led UMass and Memphis to the Final Four in 1996 and 2008 respectively; those appearances were later vacated, though Calipari was cleared of wrongdoing in both cases.
