Jonathan Silverman (Jonathan Elihu Silverman) is an American actor best known for playing in the black comedy film “Weekend at Bernie’s” as Richard Parker. Besides that, he has made appearances in “An American Dog Story”, “K.C. Undercover”, “The Hungover Games”, and many others.

Jonathan is noted to have played a significant role in the TV sitcom Gimme a Break from 1981-87. He also played in other films such as Brighton Beach Memoirs in 1986; Girls Just Want to Have Fun in 1985; Caddyshack II in 1988, Little Big League in 1994, and Weekend at Bernie’s in 1989 throughout his early years.

Beginning in 1995, Jonathan took on the titular role in the TV sitcom “The Single Guy” on NBC. He also got a lead role in the movie “Little Sister” sometime before that. Next, he made an appearance in an episode in the 3rd season of the police procedural drama TV series “CSI: Miami”. Later, he made a guest appearance in an episode of the television sitcom, Friends.

Jonathan Silverman ‘Weekend At Bernies’

Weekend at Bernie’s is a 1989 American comedy film directed by Ted Kotcheff and written by Robert Klane. The film stars Andrew McCarthy and Jonathan Silverman as young insurance corporation employees who discover that their boss, Bernie, is dead. While attempting to convince people that Bernie is still alive, they discover that Bernie had ordered their deaths to cover up his embezzlement. It received a mixed critical response but was a financial success, grossing over $30 million on a $15 million budget. The film’s success inspired a sequel, Weekend at Bernie’s II (1993).
