Lisa Rogers Eaton found Dead with hatchet ‘protruding from her head,
Florida detectives say a guy attacked Lisa Rogers Eaton with a hatchet early on Tuesday, and her family is ready to say their final goodbyes.
Pinellas County sheriff’s deputies discovered 56-year-old Eaton in the Silver Lake Mobile Home Park with a hatchet “protruding from her head,” as the report puts it.
Before detectives could arrive, the culprit, later identified as 40-year-old Michael Dougherty, reportedly fled the scene. Later that day, his car was located not far from Gainesville.
Sheriff’s deputies in Alachua County, Florida, reportedly made the arrest of Dougherty on Thursday morning at around 3 a.m. when they pulled him over for speeding. On a warrant for attempted second-degree murder out of Pinellas County, he was arrested and put into the Alachua County Jail.
Eaton’s older sister, Donna Voye, regarded him as a sympathetic and optimistic person.
She’ll help anyone needs it, Voye stated. “Ask for anything; she’ll oblige.”
According to Voye, Eaton was performing this service for Dougherty. Voye claims that Eaton allowed him to live with her and her husband after he lost his job.
We don’t get it,” Voye added. We just don’t get it, because she’s not the type to harm somebody.
Due to the severity of his wound, Eaton is reportedly under intensive surveillance at a local hospital. On Saturday, following a final prayer, Eaton’s family plans to turn off her life support.
