Lyncon On May 10, 2023, in Janesville, Mikel Olson, age 49, passed away suddenly and calmly at home as he rested his eyes following a long day of work.

Lyncon was born on May 30, 1973, to Randall (Randy) and Marcia (Stauffer) Olson in Pender, Nebraska.

Lyncon relocated to Orange City, Iowa after starting his education in Sioux Center, Iowa. 1992 saw his MOC Floyd Valley High School graduation. Lyncon took great pride in being a proud Dutchman and in having received a broad education.

Lyncon had a strong interest in sports, and he competed in football, basketball, and track. He also sang beautifully and had a major role in the high school production of West Side Story.

Joan, Lyncon’s wife, and their five daughters, Emily (20), Faith (18), Alison (17), Katelyn (15), and Mallory (10), remain in his life. Parents Marcia (Stauffer) and Randall Olson (Bev) of Orange City, Iowa, and Nebraska City, Nebraska, respectively. Nick Olson (Orange City, IA), Lindsay and Brady Aalbers (Alton, IA), and Cameron and Heather Olson (Charleston, SC) are siblings.

Bill and Stacy Adams of Spicer, Minnesota, and Jeff and Angela Adams of Janesville, Minnesota are brothers and sisters-in-law. Numerous nieces and nephews as well as the in-law’s mother Judy Adams from Janesville, Minnesota. His grandparents Glenn and Maxine Olson, Lee and Myrtle Stauffer, Rudy Lundberg, and his father-in-law Everett Adams all predeceased him.

On May 17, 2023, there will be a visitation from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM and a Mass of Christian Burial at 5:30 PM.
