Mattia Binotto parents: Who are his Italian father and mother?

Mattia Binotto is a Swiss-born Italian engineer and the team principal of Scuderia Ferrari, in Formula One. He was appointed to the role on January  2019, replacing Maurizio Arrivabene.

Mattia Binotto was born on November 3, 1969, into an Italian family in Lausanne, Switzerland.

He attended the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne after finishing high school. He was awarded a mechanical engineering bachelor’s degree upon completing his degree in 1994.

Later, he attended the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia to pursue his master’s degree in motor vehicle engineering. He joined Scuderia Ferrari in the engine division a year after receiving his undergraduate degree.  He was again part of the same team during the successful early 2000s.

Over a decade later, in 2013, he became head of their engine department. Three years later, he became the chief technical officer (CTO) of Ferrari in July 2016, replacing James Allison.
