Melissa Bauman dies after a fentanyl overdose At Riverside rehab center

When Melissa Bauman called her mother for assistance last summer, she was ready to kick her drug addiction, which she had battled for years.

Fentanyl is an extremely strong synthetic opioid that Karri Ryder stated her 24-year-old daughter had started consuming.

The two concurred that Bauman should visit a sobering facility for assistance.

Ryder learned her daughter had been discovered dead in her dorm room a few days after Bauman entered a rehab facility in Riverside County. According to a wrongful death complaint brought against the facility on Wednesday, Bauman apparently overdosed before passing away.

“I delivered her on Saturday night. Ryder stated, “I saw her on Sunday and Monday. Then, early on Tuesday morning, she vanished.

Ryder claimed that despite Bauman’s sleepiness the last time they saw one another, she gave her mother a kiss on the cheek. Ryder and Bauman parted ways holding two pieces of a soft heart her mother had given her.

Ryder explained, “I would carry one half and she would hold the other.” She grinned while holding it.

Just before 6 a.m., Bauman’s body was discovered. According to the county coroner, Bauman accidentally overdosed on fentanyl.

Ryder asserts that two months after Bauman’s passing, the observation logs were changed. She complained about abuse and carelessness at MFI Recovery Center and Riverside County on behalf of her daughter.
