Michael Heath Dies in Maryland Farm Accident., Jersey cow Legend

A well-known Maryland judge and Jersey breeder named Michael Heath flunks.

A second-story board fractured as Michael Heath and his uncle were moving round bales, causing him to fall about 10-15 feet. Michael suffered bleeding after hitting his head on the concrete and was rendered unconscious until the Med Flight crew came. Since they were unable to stop the bleeding and Michael had seven skull fractures, he was granted a life flight and his family was told there was no hope. He was able to fulfill one of his last requests by giving his organs to save the lives of others.

The family of the deceased would like to thank you for your kind messages of support and hope.

On one of the six farms held by Michael Heath, Spring Valley Jersey Farm, he was raised.

“I will have to think long and hard about anyone in this current industry who had more drive and passion for cattle (not only Jerseys),” says the incredibly gifted dairy cattle photographer Cybil Fisher. MPH visited more herds in a year than anyone else and identified more “potential” in both cattle and humans. I will miss our conversations about the bulls you see, the ones you like, and your “Bull List.” And most importantly, thank you for donating your organs. Because of people like you, I have a number of close friends who are still living today.
