Minjee Lee is an Australian golfer from Perth.
Born on 27 May 1996, Lee attended Methodist Ladies’ College, Perth, and was later moved to Corpus Christi College.
Lee won the 2012 U.S. Girls’ Junior, and the following year, she won at the Australian Women’s Amateur.
Lee ranked number one amateur golfer in 2014, following her win at the Oates Victorian Open. She also turned pro in the same year.
Minjee Lee Professional Career
Lee made her first LPGA Tour victory in 2015 at the Kingsmill Championship.
In 2016, she clinched the Lotte Championship title and represented her country in the women’s golf at the Summer Olympics.
In 2021, Lee won her first major championship at the Amundi Evian Championship; and in 2022, she won her second major championship at the U.S. Women’s Open.
Her win earned her the sum of $1.8 million.
So far, Lee has recorded 11 career wins, out of which 8 were on the LPGA Tour.
