Missing Jeffrey Brooks Jr Found Dead, Roommate Arrested And Charged
In relation to the murder of 22-year-old Jeffrey Brooks Jr., a suspect has been detained and charged.
Concerned family members who believed Brooks had missed his early commute to work reported him missing on Thursday.
The 22-year-old had a physical altercation with his roommate the previous evening, the family reportedly informed the police.
The housemate was arrested on March 24 and is now known as Markis Russell, a 24-year-old man, to be questioned.
Police found Brooks’ body in the back of his vehicle in the 6800 block of Harford Road around 10:45 p.m. A shooting wound was discovered on him.
The alleged victim of Brooks’ homicide was Jeffrey Brooks Jr. Russell is at Central Booking right now.
Police attribute the case’s successful resolution to the Brooks family’s active involvement, according to a statement.
If the Brooks family had not actively participated and cooperated in the investigation, Jeffrey Brooks, Jr. would still be missing and his murderer would still be at large.
