The Iranian human rights activist and scientist Narges Mohammadi is the vice president of the Defenders of Human Rights Center, headed by Nobel Peace Prize laureate Shirin Ebadi.

Narges Mohammadi’s 2 children: Meet her twins Kiana Rahmani and Ali Rahmani

Kiana Rahmani and Ali Rahmani are the twin children born to Narges Mohammadi and her husband Taghi Rahmani. The children are at the moment 16 years old and was born in 2007. They are Iranian national but Paris-based.

Their parents got married in 1999, and after their marriage, their father was arrested for the first time. Rahmani moved to France in 2012 after serving 14 years of prison sentences while Mohammadi remained to continue her human rights work.

Narges Mohammadi who is the deputy head of the Defenders of Human Rights Center (DHRC), which was co-founded by Iranian Nobel Peace Prize laureate Shirin Ebadi, was recently sentenced to 16 years in prison after being convicted of charges connected to her human rights activism.

The sentence was condemned by rights groups and the UN’s high commissioner for human rights Zeid Ra’ad al-Hussein.
