His father is descended from the House of Golitsyn, the Russian nobles who came to England as refugees, and his mother is Greek-American.
According to several official records in the UK, the actor, his father, and his grandfather are styled as Prince Galitzine.
They were grand princes ruling over principalities that stretched from Lithuania to Poland, Ukraine, and Russia.
Following the Vigel’s protest, the Galitzines’ grasp on territory, power, and wealth didn’t last long.
After the October Revolution began in 1917, the Galitzines became one of the victims of the executions led by the Bolsheviks.
Many branches of the Galitzines simply disappeared while others, such as Geoffrey’s fled to other countries as refugees. His descendants fled to England and settled there.
His Father Geoffrey
Nicholas Galitzine father Geoffrey was the Deputy CEO, co-founder, and equity shareholder of online stockbroker Share People.
As his business interest grew in the glass recycling industry, he decided to sell the company.
He sold the company to American Express in 2001 for £30 million. He founded Smash & Grab Glass Recycling Ltd with his two friends in January 2006. They created a glass-crushing machine, Little Smasher.
In May 2011, Specialist Waste Recycling Ltd (SWR), a fast-growing waste solution provider, offered to acquire the company, which the recycling company’s directors accepted.
SWR bundled the company’s innovative small-footprint glass compactor with its wide waste services to commercial clients. Geoffery then served as a consultant for SWR from June 2011 until May 2013.
His other work experience includes serving as a Chairman for Passion for Life Healthcare (Jan 2004 – Nov 2006) and a member of the property advisory board for Gullwing Asset Management (Sep 2005 – Mar 2010).
A devoted businessperson at work, Galitzine is also a dedicated family man at home. In an IG post, his son shared how he raised him, drove him to rugby fixtures around the country, and convinced him to go to the audition.

His Upbringing In London
Growing up, Galitzine was invested in sports. He was an aspiring athlete, who played football, and rugby, and competed in county-level athletics.
Unfortunately, after incurring a damaged rotator (a bad shoulder in layman’s terms), he had to unexpectedly turn his path from sports. He then started acting in the most interesting way.
His acting interest was ignited with a spark of romance. Speaking to Wonderland Magazine, the star shared there was a girl who he really liked and she was going to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
So he did the festival in hopes to pull the girl’s attention. In the process, he came back with this acting agency. After signing with the agency, he landed his first break, playing the lead character Tom in The Beat Beneath My Feet.
Galitzine’s first exposure to the industry earned him a steady stream of jobs, acting alongside the likes of Timothy Spall and Anjelica Huston, before being cast in Netflix’s Chambers.
Set in the fictional town called Crystal Valley, the sci-fi follows the story of a teenager who receives a life-saving heart transplant and is haunted by the spirit of her donor.
Galitzine’s other early career projects include portraying Angelo in Legends (2015), Johnnie Blackwell in High Strung (2016), Conor Masters in Handsome Devil (2016), and Sorensen Carlisle in The Changeover (2017).
Talking about his schooling, he studied at Dulwich College in Dulwich, London, and was a member of Pleasance Islington, a youth theatre company.
