In a heart-wrenching incident on Sunday, a fatal boating accident in Austin, Texas has led to the loss of Realtor Rob Montalbano’s life. Alongside this devastating loss, five other individuals sustained injuries as a boat collided with a jet ski on Lake Travis near Point Venture.
The accident unfolded around 3 p.m. and prompted swift response from the Austin-Travis County EMS. Tragically, despite extensive resuscitative efforts, one individual succumbed to their injuries at the scene. This devastating loss has sent shockwaves through the community.
Five others involved in the accident were rushed to hospitals for medical attention. Among them, one individual faced potentially serious injuries and received CPR, unfortunately, their condition did not improve. Another person, categorized as a trauma alert patient, was swiftly transported from the water to an awaiting ambulance on the shore. They were subsequently taken to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center. The remaining four injured individuals were transported to various hospitals in the area. Fortunately, the injuries sustained by these four individuals are not anticipated to be life-threatening, providing a glimmer of hope amid the tragedy.
