Ryan Callahan Obituary Pennsylvania, Callahan Wings Co-founder

On Monday, April 17, 2023, at the University of Maryland Medical Center, Ryan Patrick Callahan, 47, of East Berlin, Pennsylvania, passed into God’s eternal care.

Ryan Callahan, the son of the late Daniel P. Callahan and Paula J. (Walter) Callahan, was born on September 27, 1975, in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Danielle L. Gagne was Ryan’s devoted fiancée, and they were together for approximately 7 years. 1993 saw Ryan graduate from New Oxford Senior High School.

Ryan obtained an associate of arts in business administration and culinary arts in 1995 while attending the Pennsylvania Culinary Institute, which would later become the Le Cordon Bleu Institute of Culinary Arts in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Ryan had a thriving business as an independent contractor.

More than everything, Ryan loved feeding the people he cared about. Ryan referred to Gull’s Way Campground as his “happy place” and enjoyed camping there as well as going to the beach. His loved ones remember how much he always loved exploring new places in his golf cart and, most of all, spending time around the campfire with them.

Both the McSherrystown Home Association and the New Oxford Social Club included Ryan as a member. Ryan leaves behind his daughter Nathalie and son Gage P. Callahan of Red Lion, Pennsylvania, as well as his mother and fiancée.

He also leaves behind his brother Daniel “Sean” Callahan and partner Denise, as well as his sister Michelle D. Groft and her spouse Christopher, both of New Oxford, Pennsylvania.

Ryan’s funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 12 East Hanover Street, Gettysburg, PA, 17325, on Friday, April 21, 2023, at 10 AM.

The Bonneauville funeral home will have a viewing and remembrance session from 6 to 8 PM on Thursday, April 20, 2023. Donations in Ryan’s memory may be donated to the Irishtown Fire Company at 934 Irishtown Road, New Oxford, PA 17350, online at or by calling 717-624-4141 in place of flowers.
