Afua Asantewaa’s hometown is Breman Essiam in the Central Region and Kwahu Abetifi in the Eastern Region as revealed by herself in an interview with Abeiku Santana on Okay Fm prior to the singathon.
Afua Asantewaa had her primary and JHS education at Achimota School and proceeded to Seventh-Day Adventist SHS in Asante Bekwai.

She had her tertiary education at then Sunyani Polytechnic, now a technical university.
Afua Asantewaa was born at Achimota and grew up at the Achimota Nurses flat with her mother, a civil servant at Ghana Health Service and father, a building contractor.
