Sam Kinison died on April 10, 1992 after he collided head on with a 17-year-old that crossed the centerline on the way to a comedy show.
LaBove said that the final “okay” was softly spoken. “The last ‘okay’ was so soft and at peace,” said LaBove. “Whatever voice was talking to him gave him the right answer and he just relaxed with it. He was so sweet, like he was talking to someone he loved.” Kinison then died and couldn’t be resuscitated.

Kinison’s pattern of living fast and living hard would eventually catch up to him on the evening of April 10, 1992, when his Trans-Am collided with a pickup truck, injuring his newly married wife, Malika, and fatally injuring him (via The New York Times ). Born in December of 1953, Kinison was the son of a Pentecostal preacher.
