Alex Schachter was one of seventeen students and teachers killed in a mass shooting in Parkland, Florida.

Nikolas Cruz started shooting at students and faculty at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, on February 14, 2018, killing 17 and injuring 17. Cruz walked into Building 12, a three-story building with 30 classrooms, 900 students, and 30 teachers.

Cruz entered a hallway and began randomly shooting at children and teachers while carrying an AR-15-style semi-automatic rifle. He fled the scene on foot while disguised as one of the other students but was apprehended an hour later in nearby Coral Springs.

Parkland School shooting victim was born to his parents, Max Schachter and Debbie. Alex’s father is a national advocate for school safety.

Max is the executive director of Safe Schools for Alex (SSFA), a 501(c)(3) he founded in the aftermath of the tragedy. Safe Schools for Alex provides students, parents, school districts, and law enforcement with the most up-to-date school safety best practices and resources so that all children can learn in a safe environment.

Similarly, he has collaborated with Congress members, federal agency leaders, and the United States President to make schools safer. He provided expert testimony before the Federal Commission on School Safety, explaining the necessity for a federal organization to house international standards for school safety.

Max’s vision became a reality in June 2019 when President Trump established the Federal School Safety Clearinghouse within the Department of Homeland Security. he has also worked to improve Florida students’ safety and security as a member of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas (MSD) High School Public Safety Commission.

Alex Schachter’s Mom Died When He Was Four

Alex’s mother, Debbie, died due to health issues when he was four. She was enrolled at her son’s ideal university, the University of Connecticut.

According to Alex’s father, it was extremely difficult for him and his family when their mother and wife died unexpectedly in the middle of the night. They couldn’t believe she was no longer with them. After a long time, Max met and fell in love with a woman named Caryn.

Caryn is Alex’s stepmother. Her husband died just one month after Debbie. As a result, Max and Caryn have a lot in common. Caryn had two daughters with her first husband, Morgan, and Avery.

Furthermore, the couple and their children decided to relocate to Parkland to begin their new life. It was difficult for all the kids in the front, but they eventually got along and began to love each other.

Alex Schachter Is A parkland shooting Victim

Alex Schachter, a fifteen-year-old boy, was killed in Parkland, Florida, shooting on February 14, 2018.

One of Alex Schachter’s friends witnessed everything at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. According to him, he saw all of his classmates being injured and taking their final breaths.

He also stated after hearing a massive boom outside his classroom, he first noticed a burning feeling on the back of his head before realizing he was surrounded by gunfire. He added that I remember the feeling dripping down the back of my head and chest; blood was everywhere.

Moreover, Alex was already named an honorary marching band member and was granted posthumous admission to the school.

Shooter Nikolas Cruz Prison Sentence And Charges

According to the jury, Parkland School shooter Nikolas Cruz will receive a life sentence in prison or be executed. He has already pleaded guilty to all of the charges.

The prosecutors are seeking the death penalty, but Nikolas’s team is considering another option: life in prison with no chance of release.

Furthermore, the jury must decide whether he should impose the death penalty or only life in prison. The 17-person murderer is 23 years old. He is accused of 17 charges of attempted murder and first-degree murder.

Additionally, Cruz apologized to the victim’s family, saying, “I apologize for what I did, and I now have a daily burden of guilt. I would take every precaution to assist others if given a second chance.”
