He worked as a medical doctor at Piedmont Healthcare in Athens, Georgia, from July 2019 until June 2020.
For five years, he served as a part-time lead director for the National Alliance for Mental Health and Substance Abuse Recovery.

From 2019 to 2020, the late Dr. David completed his Internal Medicine Residency Program at the University of Georgia.
