Callista Fisher Dies in a Car Accident
The Missouri Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly three-vehicle crash involving a Willard School District bus.
Investigators say one driver, 17, died in the crash. The other two drivers suffered injuries. Willard School District leaders report no kids were on the bus at the time of the crash.
The crash happened around 4:30 p.m. on State Highway 266 near State Highway AB. Investigators say the driver of an SUV pulled out of the parking lot of a Dollar General into the path of the westbound school bus. The collision forced the driver of the school bus to cross the center line, hitting the teenage driver in a pickup truck head-on. She died at the scene.
The school bus also hit a utility pole. Investigators closed the area at the crash scene because of downed wires.
The Willard School District released a statement to KY3 News:
