Depp may have to forego big-budget Hollywood jobs in favor of independent projects, but Heard currently has a much larger profile as an activist than as an actress, despite the fact that her playing career is far from over.

An Hollywood film director believes Heard’s image has suffered as a result of the trial’s scrutiny.

A petition is already being circulated to have Heard removed from the upcoming “Aquaman” sequel, which has already been shot and is currently in post-production. (Both CNN and Warner Bros. Discovery are owned by Warner Bros.)

That is unlikely to happen. However, the head of DC Films, which produced “Aquaman,” Walter Hamada, testified that the creative team was concerned about Heard’s return to the property due to a lack of chemistry with co-star Jason Momoa.

Sources believe it’s more difficult to say about Heard, whose career was less established than Depp’s when their relationship and serious allegations began.

Heard told Vanity Fair almost a decade ago, before the Depp drama surfaced, that she was ready for the ups and downs of an acting career.
