At the age of 15, Dominika took part in the first season of the talent show Česko Slovensko má talent in 2010. She won the judges’ vote in the third semi-final and was one of the 14 acts selected for the grand final. Though impressing the judges and audiences, she failed to win the competition, which was won by the acrobalance act Dae Men.
We Are Domi was formed by the trio and included the British keyboardist and backing vocalist Jemma Freese and Norwegian drummer Jostein Braaten, who later left the band. The trio continued making music together and relocated to Prague, Czech Republic from the United Kingdom.

The singer was born on May 3, 1995, in Buffalo, New York, United States while her father, ice hockey legend Dominik Hašek was playing for the Buffalo Sabres in the NHL.
Hašek is considered one of the best goaltenders of all time. He mostly played in the NHL for the Buffalo Sabres, where he earned the nickname ‘The Dominator’. He also has a son named Mike Hasek.

We Are Domi was selected through the Eurovision Song CZ 2022, the national final organized by the CT. Among the seven participants, the electropop trio was the one selected to represent the country in the semi-finals.
