Michaela McManus parents: Meet Jim McManus, Trisha McManus
McManus, a native of Warwick, Kent County, Rhode Island, and the daughter of James “Jim” and Patricia McManus, graduated from Fordham University and the graduate acting school at NYU before moving to Los Angeles to pursue her profession.
She joined the cast of One Tree Hill in 2008 and played Lindsey Strauss, Lucas Scott’s love interest, in season five (Chad Michael Murray). After finishing her work on One Tree Hill, she secured a guest spot on CSI: NY’s fifth season.
She later received word that she had been cast as Assistant District Attorney Kim Greylek in Season 10 of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. In the midst of season ten, when ADA Alexandra Cabot (Stephanie March) made a comeback, she was unceremoniously written off of SVU. Despite this, McManus was still given credit in the main titles of season ten, even though it was later made clear that he wouldn’t be coming back to SVU.
