“We must say farewell to our beloved Peter Cowan, an incredible father, husband, brother, son, uncle, friend, community builder, sports fan, arborist, and small company owner, with profound regret and unconsolable loss. Peter had a big grin, a golden heart, and was kind and generous. The three people Peter loved most in the world—his devoted wife Stephanie, his amazing daughters, and he—died brutally on November 14th.

We are aware that Peter’s kindness and affection touched a great number of people. This has been made clear by the influx of texts, calls, and messages and shows just how widespread Peter’s influence was among his family, friends, and community.

How can I support Stephanie and her daughters? is a question that many people have asked. Helping Stephanie and her kids get through this trying time of loss, grief, and sadness without further financial strain is one way to show support. Stephanie has given us permission to create a GoFundMe page on her behalf in order to raise money for both immediate and long-term needs, such as burial bills and other ongoing living expenses, to support their family during this unfathomable tragedy.
