Plies net worth: Plies is an American rapper who has a net worth of $14 million dollars. Plies was born Algernod Lanier Washington in Fort Myers, Florida in July 1976. In high school Plies was Homecoming King as well as being named best dressed and playing on the football team. He played wide receiver at Miami University from 1995 to 1997. Plies and his stepbrother started a record label called Big Gates Records. Plies landed a deal with Slip-n-Slide Records and released several mixtapes. In 2007 his first album The Real Testament was released. He had hits with the singles “Shawty” and “Hypnotized”. The album was certified Gold. In 2008 he released two albums, Definition of Real and da REAList. He released the album Goon Affiliated in 2010. In 2006 Plies was charged with illegal possession of a concealed weapon. In addition members of his entourage were charged with attempted murder. Plies was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance By A Duo Or Group in 2011 for “Lose My Mind”. He has also been nominated for three BET Hip-Hop Award and four Ozone Awards. He was featured in the 2007 song “I’m So Hood” by DJ Khaled. His albums Da REAList and Goon Affiliated both reached #1 on the US Rap chart and the album Goon Affiliated also reached #1 on the US R&B chart. In 2015 Plies was attacked on stage while performing a concert. He was arrested in 2017 for driving under the influence.
