Vermont: Christopher Farrell Arrest & Charges Details – Is The Senior Advisor To Governor McKee In Jail?
Christopher Farrell, 38, of Pawtucket, got charged with illegal trespass and illegal mischief.
Police said they received a second call from a neighbor across the street while they were en route to the scene of the incident, reporting that a guy was attempting to steal a car from outside their home.
Vermont State Police had released the news that when the troopers got to the second call’s address, they discovered Farrell receiving medical attention from paramedics. He was brought to Central Vermont Medical Center to evaluate his mental health.

According to Vermont State Police., Christopher Farrell, 38, was arrested in Waterbury, Vermont, on Saturday after state troopers responded to a reported burglary.
Police charged Farrell with unlawful trespass and unlawful mischief after conducting an investigation. Farrell got summoned to appear in Washington County Superior Court – Criminal Division on August 25.
According to Laura Hart, a spokesperson for the Rhode Island Department of Administration, McKee placed Farrell on paid administrative leave on Monday morning.
Mr. Farrell has been placed on administrative leave pending the resolution of this personal health concern.
According to Hart, senior advisors give the governor “policy and operational counsel,” and Farrell’s portfolio is focused on the Department of Administration, federal infrastructure spending, and services for veterans.

Farrell is currently in Vermont Superior Court, awaiting the final decision. Rory Thibault, the state’s attorney, said on Sunday that he would review the paperwork once the state police submitted it.
Both charges have been classified as felonies by state police, but the Washington County State’s Attorney’s Office will make the final decision.
According to police, Farrell was taken by Waterbury EMS to Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin after the incident to speak with a screener from Washington County Mental Health Services.
Additionally, he will be sent to prison shortly and remain there for a considerable time.

Farrell grew up in Cumberland, McKee’s hometown. According to Vermont State Police, Farrell lived in Stowe, Vermont. He attended Quinnipiac University School of Law before returning to Rhode Island to join the McKee administration.
However, information about his parents and wife remains a mystery. He is also not on social media, making learning about his personal life difficult.

Senior advisor to Governor McKee Salary And Net Worth
According to the state transparency website, Farrell’s annual salary is $123,982. Similarly, his net worth could be hundreds of thousands of dollars. His profession was his primary source of income.
He was appointed when McKee was promoted to governor from lieutenant governor in March 2021.
Similarly, he worked as a lawyer in Connecticut before becoming a political operative for Democratic candidates such as McKee and former Attorney General Peter Kilmartin.
Following the incident, according to Vermont State Police, a senior adviser to Rhode Island Gov. Daniel McKee has been ordered to appear in criminal court in Washington County on charges of unlawful trespass and unlawful mischief.
