Jason Voorhees is a fictional character that has successfully been represented in different other media which includes novels, video games, comic books, and a crossover film with another iconic movie character named Freddy Krueger.

Voorhees’s role has primarily been an antagonist in the films. He whether stalks and kills the other people or acts as a psychological threat to the protagonist as on Friday the 13th: A New Beginning.

Furthermore, the character’s physical appearance has gone through many transformations with special makeup effects artists including Stan Winston.

Jason has been featured in various humor magazines, referenced in feature films, parodied in television series, and was the inspiration for a horror punk band.

Jason Voorhees’s face looks like a hydrocephalic, mongoloid pinhead, with a dome-shaped head. His original face design was to have hair but later decided to make him bald.

Jason’s look was created by Tom Savini and his team. He originated a plaster mold of Ari Lehman’s head and used that to create prosthetics for his face.

Lehman personally placed mud from the bottom of the lake, all over his body to make himself look really slimy. In part 2, Carl Fullerton only designed a new head for him in one day.

Moreover, Fullerton drew a rough sketch of what he imagined Jason should look like and has it approved. In part 3, Jason wore a mask to cover his face and had worn a bag over his head.

Does Jason Voorhees Exist In Real Life?

Jason Voorhees is supposed to be a fictitious character and does not exist in real life. But there are striking similarities in the film to a series of grisly murders in Finland in the summer of 1960.  

In the series, three teens were stabbed to death while camping at Lake Bodom. Jason was initially created by Victor Miller and was a combined effort by Miller, Ron Kurz, and Tom Savini.

Like how could he even know that if your body was destroyed, you could a) be reborn by entering the body of another Voorhees and b) be truly killed only at the hand of another Voorhees?

Jason is the antagonist star of the movie series but is known as a deadly murderer. His character is filled with madness, brutality, and superpowers. He is not a real person but, there are some people like him.

Jason Voorhees is a fictional character who was created by Victor Miller. The character might have had some true story inspiration, but there was no one individual responsible for the character.

Jason first appeared on Friday the 13th (1980) as the young son of camp-turned-killer Mrs.Voorhees, in which he was portrayed by Ari Lehman.

In addition, Voorhees was a disabled child who drowned while trying to swim in Crystal Lake to prove that he could do it. But unfortunately, he died as no one paid attention to him.

The twist was that Jason actually did not die and was hiding in the woods. He lived in a shack in the woods and used to kill anyone who used to come there.
