Who is Melissa Benoist husband Chris Wood?

After Chris Wood was chosen to play Mon-El in season two of Supergirl, Benoist first met him in 2016.

Their relationship was later made public in 2017.  “We met each other at the best time in our lives,” she says of the connection.  Benoist participated in the October 2017 launch of Wood’s “IDONTMIND” campaign, which aims to give tools and information while reducing stigma around mental health.

She talked about how she had experienced depression and panic attacks since she was 13 years old. She claimed that Wood’s statements gave her the confidence to talk to others about her own struggles with depression.

At a secret ceremony in Ojai, California, Benoist and Wood wed in September 2019 after announcing their engagement on February 10th. The couple made their first pregnancy announcement on Instagram on March 4, 2020. On September 25, 2020, they made the news that their son had been born.
