Why Did Jake Go To Rehab In One Of Us Is Lying? – SPOILERS

Jake admitted going to the Wild Awakening rehab center in One Of Us Lying to cure his sociopathic behavior.

Jake Riordan is one of the key characters in “One Of Us Is Lying” from the Peacock original series with delusional characteristics. Actor Barrett Carnahan plays the character. For clarification, Jake is the football team captain and boyfriend of Addy. 

When Jake was in rehab, he fell in love with Fiona, played by actress Doralynn Mui. Simon was killed in detention and viewers were first introduced to One Of Us Lying characters, Cooper, Addy, Bronwyn, and Nate. 

Later, it was discovered that Addy’s ex-boyfriend Jake was the one who killed him. He was killed by a Bayview High student in the season finale after confronting and assaulting Addy. All the characters receive a text message from Simon warning them to keep their secrets.

Why Did Jake Go To Rehab In One Of Us Is Lying

As we can see in the Season 2 ending, Jake in One Of Us Is Lying went to a Rehab center for the treatment of sociopathic behavior. 

He admitted that he lied about going to Greece and he was not involved in this Tech savvy using “About That” to threaten everyone because he was in rehab all along.

DmTalkies reports he went to Wild Awakenings rehab center, the same center where Andy’s mother was referred. During the conversation with Vanessa, Jake revealed that he went to the treatment at the rehab center instead of traveling to Greece for the Summer Holidays. Addy had a relationship with Jake for quite a while. However, Jake is very manipulative/controlling in the relationship and dislikes liars and cheaters. 

Jake met two women in Wild Awakenings. The first woman was compulsive liar Giselle Ward, and the other was the impulsive psychopath Fiona Jennings. Fiona had stabbed her math instructor, Mr. Sheridan.

Addy believed that Jake was breaking things up with her because he had been away in Greece all summer, and she began having an affair with TJ. Eventually, Jake discovered that Addy was cheating on him, and he was caught red-handed. However, Simon had already warned Jake about it. 

Finally, Jake and Addy parted ways. Despite wanting to get back together with his ex-girlfriend Addy, Jake was upset that she had lied to him. In the previous episode, “One of Us Is Dead,” Jake hosted a Halloween party and dressed as a magician. Despite her interests, He wanted Addy to dress as a cat. 

When Addy was riding her bike, Jake chased her in his car. He drove after her off the road with the intention of killing her.

Who Was Helping Fiona In One Of Us Is Lying?

Maeve was trying to help Fiona in One Us Is Lying but it was all planned to deceive her.

 The Murder Club did everything possible to connect Fiona to the murder of Giselle. However, they were unable to link proof for the murder of Giselle so they decided to accuse her of killing Jake instead. Maeve made a deal with Fiona to help her free the monster from the cave. In reality, they wanted Fiona’s prints on the murder weapon.

Finally, Maeve was alone with Addy on the boat and she had invited Fiona. Meanwhile, everyone else went out to gather evidence against her. When Fiona got aboard the boat and had an altercation with Bronwyn. Police intervened in the fight, they found Fiona’s fingerprints on the murder weapon which was responsible to kill Jake. 

In jail, Fiona tried to convince Jake’s brother Cole that the entire Murder Club attempted to dispose of Jake’s body. However, Maeve changed the evidence Pendrive to protect Murder Club.

Therefore, Maeve was the one who tried to help but in a selfish manner.
