Billy had an explosive 100 mph fastball and had 422 saves. He may appear on the ballot a maximum of ten times as per the rules of the HOF. His Cooperstown bid is entering the final few election cycles, reports MLB. 

In his seventh year on the ballot, the former pitcher received 51% votes. The Hall of Fame released the results on Tuesday. He is in a similar situation as last year, where he received the 46.4% vote.

Billy Wagner got married to his wife Sarah Quesenberry on December 10, 1994. He started dating her during his sophomore year at Ferrum College, and they have been together for almost three decades.

The couple left their 60-acre spread near the Blue Ridge Mountains in central Virginia with their kids in 2005 after he joined the New York Mets, reports The New York Times.

Sarah’s parents Tina and Steven Quesenberry got brutally murdered in 1995. They got shot in an apartment complex parking lot in Hillsville on May 16, 1995.
